How has working at Katz impacted your career?
I started my career here at Katz, as have many of us, as an assistant. After my first day, I knew I had found a good fit, I just didn't realize how good of a fit it was until I was promoted to an Account Executive and was able to sell - I fell in love with my job at that point. Working here has taught me so much; from learning how to navigate through difficult conversations to developing a style that has a nice balance of work and play.
What advice would you give women entering the workforce now?
Be appreciative of the advice and feedback you're given along the way. If someone is taking the time to give that to you, it most likely means they're taking an interest and want you to be more successful down the road.
Share a "fun fact" about yourself!
I love dinosaurs! Seriously, I love dinosaurs. My fave: T-Rex. Want to cheer me up? Shove anything dino-related into my hands.
Who or what is inspiring to you?
All of the Katz bosses I've had along the way and they (very appropriately for this article) have all been women. Each one of them taught me some new aspect of the business and really influenced how I view and approach situations. I hope I grow up to be like them some day.
What attribute or skill has helped you the most in your career?
Forging relationships. I love talking to people and finding that common ground so we can each understand where the other is coming from. It has been a big factor in working through some tough situations.
